**Please read the guidelines carefully before submitting to BLOOM Literary Magazine.**

Now accepting submissions in poetry, short fiction, art, and photography from the Elms College community of students, faculty/staff, and alumni.

What we look for...

The arts have always been about exploring what it means to be human. What is humanity to you? Identity? Discovery? Creation? Maybe it's all of these, maybe more. Send us work that sings and yearns! Send us work that longs to be human! Send us your souls! (Don't worry, our contracts aren't binding; you'll get your soul back. Eventually.) We prefer the concrete to the abstract. For example, instead of “time,” we prefer “1:19 AM.” For help submitting, please refer to what's below.

2025 is a time of discovery and perspective. Define that how you will, but no matter what there is something out that that hasn't been shared with the world yet that should be. Tell us about that in a way that feels right. We would also love your art made for art’s sake. Get out there and fill your art with the world, so we can fill the world with your art.

What we look for...

We welcome all writers to submit to BLOOM. The arts have always been about exploration, creativity, and powerful emotion. What does this mean to you? Discovering a new place? Creating a new relationship with someone? Writing about a recent memorable time? Maybe it's all of these, maybe more. Send us work that is original and sings and yearns with your voice! Explore the world around you! Send us work that longs to be heard. We encourage the abstract as well as the concrete. There is a message in every poem, story, photograph, and work of art.
